JST employs Stolberg winding equipment for fabricating the
primary and secondary coils prior to casting. This equipment is
controlled by microprocessors to ensure the proper tension during
the winding process for both wire and sheet windings.
HV winding machine with computer numeric control of tension and
winding speed to ensure coil winding uniformity.
For designs in which the electrical current of the secondary
windings is high, a sheet conductor, such as the copper sheet shown
here, is used to form the winding. The proper tension is maintained
as the sheet conductor is fed to the winding mandrill.
Conducting sheets are wound together with a sheet of insulating
material.
